Hi, I'm Pedro—a developer working in government management, passionate about building tools that make systems smarter and lives easier. My work revolves around creating robust, scalable solutions for public administration, where precision and reliability are non-negotiable. But when I’m not deep in code, you’ll probably find me experimenting in the kitchen or refining one of my side projects.
I live in Sintra, Portugal—a place that feels like a fairytale brought to life. Nestled between the mountains and the Atlantic coast, Sintra is known for its lush forests, romantic palaces, and misty charm. From the iconic Palácio da Pena to the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira, it’s a town that inspires creativity and introspection. Living here means being surrounded by history, nature, and a touch of magic—perfect fuel for both programming and cooking.
My hobbies reflect that duality. I love programming not just as a profession but as a playground for ideas. Whether it's refining backend logic or designing intuitive interfaces, I enjoy the challenge of turning complexity into clarity. Cooking, on the other hand, is my way of unwinding—an art form where flavors, timing, and improvisation come together in delicious harmony.
I also enjoy building personal projects that solve real problems or explore new ideas. Two I'm especially proud of are:
- Guestbook: A minimalist, privacy-respecting guestbook app you can try at guestbook.impedro.com. It’s designed to be lightweight, secure, and easy to integrate.
- PodPulse: A podcast discovery and tracking tool available on GitHub. It helps users follow episodes, explore new shows, and stay organized.
This blog is where I share insights from my work, thoughts on tech, and maybe a recipe or two. Whether you're here for code, culture, or curiosity—welcome.
